Children, young people and families across the Highlands who face complex challenges could benefit from the provision of intensive outreach support.

From October, specially trained staff will be on hand to work with children and young people affected by issues including criminal exploitation, offending behaviour, substance use, poor mental health and family breakdown, while also supporting parents, carers and guardians.

Delivered across the Highlands, Right There will offer practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs, helping young people build resilience, strengthen family relationships and achieve positive outcomes.

“Too many young people in the Highlands are dealing with challenges that can have a lasting, negative impact on their lives, relationships and future opportunities. Early support can make a huge difference, helping young people to build confidence, strengthen family relationships and stay connected to their communities.

“Our model is to provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs, giving young people and families the support they need when they need it most. We are fortunate to be building on the fantastic programme which Action for Children established and will be working closely with Highland Council to ensure a smooth transition.”
