Fiona joined Right There in 2023

I’ve worked with Right There as Director of People since November 2023, and it’s a real privilege to be part of an organisation who make such a positive difference to people and communities.

My career has spanned over 20 years, across a variety of sectors including hospitality, construction, gaming and retail.  Most recently, I spent 7 years at a global beer company, where I had roles which focused on generalist HR, employee engagement, internal communications, community and inclusion.  I’m passionate about creating straightforward, workable people solutions for organisations, and creating spaces where individuals are truly valued and encouraged to achieve their aspirations.

Combating social injustice, and particularly low pay, is an issue that’s really important to me, and I’ve spent much of my career volunteering with the Living Wage Foundation to showcase the positive impact that paying a real Living Wage can have on employees and organisations.   It means a lot to me that Right There share that passion for creating social equality, and are an accredited Living Wage employer.

Outside of work, I’m a keen amateur dressmaker and I’m mildly obsessed with cats… I have one cat – a big fluffy tabby called Bubbles – but I’m definitely that person who would adopt hundreds of cats if had half the chance!

“Home means stability for me.  Being able to create a safe, comfortable space away from the chaos of life is something I’m really grateful for.”
