Director of Income Diversification and Messaging
About the Role
We are recruiting for the newly shaped role of Director of Income Diversification and Messaging. This pivotal role will be instrumental in securing Right There’s long-term financial sustainability and growth by developing and executing comprehensive fundraising, communications and income diversification strategies.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Oversee the delivery of Right There’s fundraising strategy, ensuring income diversification while deepening relationships with supporters, donors and volunteers
- Support the Contracts and Tendering Manager in securing local authority contracts, providing strategic oversight and internal guidance to drive successful tender outcomes and business growth
- Enhance Right There’s external communications and marketing activities and implement strategies that directly support income growth and expand Right There’s supporter base
- Raise Right There’s profile by building and maintaining key external relationships, ensuring the organisation is a first-choice partners for commissioners, grant-making bodies and key decision-makers
- Work closely with the Director of Programmes and relevant Head’s of Service as appropriate to scope, understand and analyse opportunities in new and current geographical areas, identifying new business opportunities and potential funding streams
- Embed an agile approach to income generation by conducting regular horizon scanning and environmental analysis, ensuring a deep understanding of the funding landscape (both statutory and non-statutory) to inform strategic growth and development
- Oversee the full procurement lifecycle and lead the development of business growth initiatives, ensuring sustainable expansion and financial resilience
- Act as a role model by demonstrating high professional integrity, maintaining clear professional boundaries and upholding the commercial confidentiality of Right There’s work at all times

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of developing developing and implementing successful income generation and diversification strategies cross multiple revenue stream. While direct experience with local authority commissioning is not essential, the successful candidate will be expected to quickly build a strong understanding if this core area, as it is integral to Right There’s business and future growth.

What you can expect from us
We value our staff as our greatest asset and will provide the following working conditions:
- The post holder will report to the CEO
- Your normal working hours are 35 per week, worked Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm, depending on the needs of the service, with 1-hour unpaid break.
- Your core place of work will be 15 Dava Street, Glasgow, G51 2JA.
- Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second. This includes public holidays
- You will be automatically enrolled into the People’s Pension in the month that you will complete 3 months of employment, provided you meet the auto-enrolment criteria
